Chatting About How it is Okay to Not Be Perfect with Kate Evans

Summary

As a therapist for nearly two decades, Kate Evans knew she could help women with feelings of overwhelm.  Kate developed a personal coaching system; Soulful Space where women could learn how to declutter their mind, body, soul, and space to help them live the intentional and joyful life they deserve.  As a certified life coach and therapist, Kate offers her knowledge of decluttering and organization, yoga, and yogic philosophy to support women in their daily lives.  As she built her business, she learned that so many women (as women are the ones in most households doing the lion’s share of the housework) struggle with feelings of overwhelm on a daily basis.

According to a Cornell University study from 2016, stress triggered by clutter may also trigger coping and avoidance strategies, like eating junk food, oversleeping, or binge-watching Netflix.

These feelings of clutter tend to overwhelm women, without them sometimes understanding the reason for these feelings.  Through an integrative method, Kate addresses all of these areas to dissolve her clients’ barriers, find their truth, and create the home and life they have always wanted.

Here is a snippet of the conversation:

When in cluttered spaces, people are more likely to make poor eating choices. Those with extremely cluttered homes are 77% more likely to be overweight.

Kate teaches women the difference between what is selfish and what is self-care because she, like so many others, was raised with messages that taught women to value the care of others over their own.  And, unbeknownst to them, much of what is self-care starts in the home and the space we occupy.  Kate wants to empower women and teach them the value of decluttering mind, body, and soul and support them in their efforts to develop effective systems in their homes, that take the chaos out of everyday life.
